'Poppy Gets His Wings' is written and illustrated by Lisa Fiori Dragonetti.  It is based on a true story about a baby bird found at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.  After Poppy was rescued by a flight crew, he was soon adopted.  Poppy has learned to talk, whistle songs, perform tricks and steal hearts everywhere.  His story continues with a forth coming book, 'Poppy Gets His Stars.' Poppy has his own facebook page and youtube videos, as well as a Twitter account.
